A one day conference led by Dr. Ken Callahan, author of Twelve Keys to an Effective Church, focusing on growing as and into strong, healthy congregations. Dr. Callahan will identify essential qualities of successful, growing churches and will offer all congregations a way to unlock their potential for effective ministry. LeadStrong is a leadership event of the Anderson District incorporating engaging worship, led by Rev. Susan Leonard-Ray with the Clemson Vine band, and thought-provoking workshops centered around Discipleship, Outreach, and Worship.All clergy and leaders within the local church are encouraged to participate. Building Strong Youth Ministries
All Adult Youth Workers—paid, volunteer, part time, full time, and anyone else with a passion for youth are invited to a one day training. The three sessions will focus on: Redefining Success in Youth Ministry, The Architecture of Youth Ministry: Building Healthy Structure, and The Alchemy of Youth Ministry: Creating and Changing Culture. Chris Lynch will facilitate the training. The cost for the training is $10 which includes lunch. Payment will only be accepted at the door by check or cash. However, please register via email to Cathy Joens at cljoens@umcsc.org by Wednesday, August 26th to reserve your spot.

Lay Servant School Registration Deadline
Use the registration form linked below for the Anderson District Lay Servant Ministry school. Classes will be in September and early October at Shiloh UMC in Piedmont, SC. Classes will be offered in the Basic Course, Heritage, Polity and Preaching. All certified lay servants MUST take an advanced course every 3 years to retain certification.
