Disaster Relief

The Anderson District offers local, regional, national, and international aid and disaster relief through a variety of organizations.

Flood Recovery

When disaster strikes, The United Methodist Church is dedicated to helping those recover and get their lives back. From Early Response Teams to long-term recovery, the people of The United Methodist Church are on the ground providing prayer, relief and resources. You are not alone. We are with you for the long haul. Learn more about serving in and donating to the relief effort at the South Carolina Conference’s Flood Recovery page.

UMVIM

United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM), SEJ is the short-term mission sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.

Anderson District participates in local, state, national, and international levels of UMVIM.  UMVIM is: United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.  We are a fellowship of believers, lay and clergy, men and women, adults and youth, who have stepped out in faith to serve the needs of communities around the world.

There are many churches in our district that are active in UMVIM mission work. Learn more at these sites:
