Visiting Missionaries

Experience the Connection: Love in Action – Living the Story

As United Methodists we are able to reach around the world to be involved in sharing God’s love to those who are hungry, hurting, sick, imprisoned, and in need of help. Experience it first hand through the powerful stories of those who are on the frontlines of mission.

Chikomb MissionariesRukang and Fresie Chikomb serve as missionaries in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rukang’s assignment serves as director of Southern Congo Wings of the Morning, which is the aviation ministry of the Southern Congo/Zambia Episcopal Area that provides transportation for hospitals, educators, mission teams, church leaders, and other mission needs. His wife, Fresie, serves there as safety and accountability manager of the ministry. She also assists with management at the Jamaa Letu Boys Orphanage in Lubumbashi.

They will be in our conference from August 11—18, 2014. You have an opportunity to have them come and share what God is doing through them as they serve as United Methodist missionaries sent through the General Board of Global Ministries. Invite them to come to your local church to share their story. If you would like to host them for a mission event at your church, to speak during worship, or to tell their story to a Sunday School or Bible Study class, they welcome the opportunity. They will only be here for one week, so act quickly to get on their schedule.
